Technological advances have shifted the ways we experience the art world. In a constantly changing and unique virtual world. I, an intensely creative, rebellious, and passionate individual. I believe in and celebrate individuality and creativity; This is an ode to industry. We embrace this new existing change and unleash it to its full potential. The work in this video is part of my ongoing series of work titled “METACHROMATIC”: Meta–, (of creative work) referring to itself or the conventions of its genre; self-referential. –Chromatic, is any color in which one particular wavelength or hue predominates. This work has been influenced by Internet Culture, technology, and the many experiences we can create with art. Artists like Jonathan Zawada and Rafik Anadol have also influenced my work. The series has many phases. This one, in particular, is part of the video phase of the series. Turning a still rendered image and processing it through an After Effects plugin called “Card Dance” or as I like to call it “the shredder effect”, not know what the outcome would be but after turning some nodes, I was amazed to find that this plugin creates this beautiful movement that I like to describe as a Coral-like movement after being animated. The video shows 2 different works, one stationary and one that moves from down-up, both with “the shredder” effect.
